Festival of Talent

The chorus will not be singing in the Festival of Talent this year. Brian McDonald, the director, told me that the district chorus will be the only chorus invited to perform. Mrs. DuPratt, the students and I are disappointed in this decision, which excludes many children from a rare opportunity.

Holiday Show Tonight

Our new holiday program, A Season Of Fun, will also feature second grade classes of Mr. Hershey, Mrs. Palkie and Mrs. Bergseid.

Chorus Practice

Chorus will practice fr 12-1 on Thursday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Final Performances 09

This year saw some great performances by the chorus, including the holiday and talent shows. Our last performance on June 2 and 4 featured six sings from the chorus and two from small groups.

Chorus songs included Slick Back Jack, It’s My Journey, My Shadow, Festival, Scat Cat and Shoe Me Some Respect. Jadie, Cali and Peyton performed Hot and Cold, and Mikayla, Joie and Ana sang If We Were A Movie.

Everyone was great and I appreciate your hard work and extra time. Parents were very helpful. I look forward to another great year next year.

Well Done

Chorus had a great performance on June 2nd. Everyone looked and sounded nice. Thanks go to parents, Mrs. Du Pratt, and Mrs. Carpenter for their support.

End of the Year Performances

Chorus will put on a show for parents and friends on Tuesday,
June 2nd at 6:30 p.m. The kids have worked hard to prepare and we hope everyone can attend. To make final adjustments, I’m asking ALL chorus members to attend practice on May 26 and 28.
on June 2nd I would like to cancel practice in lieu of the performance that evening.
Chorus will also perform for a double assembly on June 4th.
It has been a great pleasure working with these kids this year; I’m looking forward to another great group next year.

Two more performances scheduled

The chorus will present a program for parents and friends on June 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

The last performance of the year will be a double assembly on June 4, at 8:30 and 9:15 a.m.

Out of town

I’m going to be out of town and unable to teach on these dates:

April 21 and 23
April 28 and 30
May 5 and 7

I’ll need ALL chorus members for practice on April 14 and 16, to rehearse for the talent show.

Mrs. McMullen will take over for me for the talent show on April 23, so chorus can perform

This is normal for my schedule and will happen every year.

Minimum day practice

Whenever there is a minimum day on Tuesday or Thursday we will have practice from 12-1 p.m.

Change in practice schedule

Parent conferences begin this week, so we will adjust our practice time on Thursday, (March 12) and Tuesday, (March 17). On those two days we’ll practice at noon until 1 p.m.
